Divorce- financial settlement re pensions

I am due to submit my divorce petition next week myself and have agreed to divide the equity in our marital home 60/40 with my husband as he is on double my income and currently the children are being cared for 50/50. I have concerns long term that my husband will stop having the children 50/50 once he buys me out as he is in a relationship with someone that lives quite a distance and wondered if things did change after the decree absolute can I still possibly apply to get a share of his pension or will the court not issue a decree absolute without a clean break?
Thanks
