MYTYRES website at the moment seems not to be recording the "fully fitted" option tick box, even if you tick it the price displayed DOES NOT include fitting (if you then apply any sort of filter)...as i have found out to my cost. Despite emailing them and them confirming the price shown is all inclusive if the box is ticked i am now left with £321's of tyres sat in a fitting centre which can only be fitted if i pay another £15 per tyre.

Even today a new quote, fully fitted still comes to same price as i paid a few days ago....

Initial emails we're responded to but now they seems to be ignoring any request to cover the cost.

So should have followed no1 rule, if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is !!!

Guess this is one i'll have to stump up and move on, i bet returning or cancelling and getting a refund would be a nightmare.

Emails sent......

I'm trying to get a fully fitted price on some tyres but even when i tick the box the price stays the same and when it comes to the fitting centre its says £15 per tyre ?

I'm trying to price 235/45 zr18 98y

We can offer you the following tyres:
Barum Bravuris 3HM
http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?PoD=110__R-251446__X
the tyres are with the fully fitted option. If any prices appear upon selecting the fitting station, the price is just informational, no additional costs will be perceived.
Prices include VAT and transport costs within mainland UK.

Thank you very much for your inquiry.

On chasing......

Thank you very much for your email.

We would like to advise you that your order no. RD 25764580 is not Fully Fitted.
Please check with your order confirmation mail.

Therefore you need to pay for the fitting service directly to the fitting station

refuse and refund and use blackcircles or asda tyres. The cost of your fitting 4 tyres is the same as I spend on a whole new tyre, and not cheapos ether, goodyear tyres 195/55/R16

I did consider refuse/cancel/return but the shear size, weight and no doubt refusal or hassle to get my money back would probably go on for weeks if not months, customer service seems not to be a strong point.

The fact is if i get the tyres fitted total cost is only mayby £3 more per tyre than i would have paid locally, so financially not an issue but the mis-selling is ! Hence the warning.
  • In my small dealings with Mytyres I asked for a refund and got this very fast, so its worth following up rather than leaving the tyres sitting somewhere unused.

I'd like to be confident but, all emails to the standard email address, complaints email and Facebook page are going unanswered, not a single response since 8pm last night.

Thanks for the sarcasm , thats useful.

Your right i am slightly impatient, the point is they we're readily liaising via email within minutes up until my complaint, now they have stopped, that in itself worries me.

Anyway i have now spoken with MYTYRES and it seems the issue is with the website, if you choose fully fitted, when you are presented with5/6 pages of tyres, if you then apply any sort of filter to the list, the fully option is REMOVED, they agree this is not by design, therefore subsequently any prices shown are excluding fitting even though you choose it at the start.

The lady is going to speak with "discounts ?" to see what can be done to resolve the issue amicably, she apologised for the lask of email replies.

But my initial post still stands, be careful on the website, applying any filter will remove the fitting option.

So you are replacing two front Michelins with several thousand miles left, a rear Michelin with many thousands of miles left for a set of Barums?

Not what I would have chosen.

Oponeo have Michelin Pilot Sport 3 for £115 each and you would need to sort out fitting yourself.

the sales order process will most likely be automated or semi automated.

With complex issues where the order goes through wrong or something else happens the sales will most likely need to speak to a manger, speak to the store to correct invoicing issues etc. The fitter wont get a penny unless they charge the car owner or get mytures to sort their job sheet. That's probably why you were getting delays.

You sounded like you were waiting for them to fix the issue and they were fobbing you off day in day out.
