External Wall Insulation

Despite me submitting my paperwork on time, I lost out to the government green deal to get EWI. :(

Does anybody know if the government will offer similar grants for EWI in the future?

Have had boiler replaced, cannot get solar as the roof isn't pointing tot he right direction.

Thanks

How did you miss out then? Did you fail to get the work done before teh voucher ran out?

I can't see any extension of the Green Deal or similar in this time of austerity without the a little yellow in the blue government to give a little green.
  • I had to submit the relevant paperwork within the two week window. Which i did and they kinda messed about saying I didn't submit them or they were incorrect.

There will unlikely be any government scheme though some local councils may still run schemes in certain areas.

I suspect there will be some new schemes in the future for hard-to-insulate properties including EWI but I think it's 50/50 whether they make it open to private individuals or not.

  • Given Government's approach to energy efficiency, anything could happen. But I doubt this hue will ever restart this... it might mean your energy bills are lowered.
  • Many thanks for all those replied.
