Chrome Pipe Connections

I am about to fit a Chrome Towel Rail in the bathroom. I wish to use chrome pipe from the heating supply pipes (copper) to the towel rail. Can chrome pipe be soldered or is compression the way to go, or is there a specific way to join these differenent types of pipe.

Chrome pipes = very mega expensive
just use the plastic chrome covers over the copper pipes nobody can tell and money saving as well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just used some chrome pipes with chrome towel radiator in my bathroom with compression units [no soldering, i'm afraid]. 1 length cable from b&q costed me £9, which is more than enough to cover the visible area.

i am a builder/property developer and i would advise compression fittings.

if you do use push fit by the time you have removed the chrome to get a good key for the gripping washer then it will look a mess.

try to use ptfe tape as well.
