*Make a new little CC-sized card with breakdown company's contact details on it, for keeping in our car. I was just cutting up the covering letter which came with my policy renewal, then I saw the emergency contact number, & I thought I'd just check to make sure we have the right one. Nope! It has changed, & I don't recall ever being informed of that. Never mind, I will make sure the new no is in the car. Imagine......sitting by the car at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere dying for a wee & you can't even get through to the people you pay to rescue you! Potential problem averted!

As well as having the details in both cars, we also have the rescue peoples details in our phones including policy number, so they are to hand. Very convenient last time I needed them, I broke down just outside Morrisons carpark, I managed to drive into be safe, got the children out of the car we walked into the store to be warm, I rang the recovery people whilst sitting on the bench in the foyer, then we used the toilet and I had planned to do the shopping as that was something we were supposed to be doing later, but we were recovered to quickly :rotfl:

Make The Change - sorry to hear you are gong through such a tough time, hope you manage to get a little sleep as problems always seem worse with a lack of sleep. I'm afraid I don't know about bailiffs and DMP/Stepchange so can't offer any practical help/advice but didn't want to read and run.

  • Good morning everyone....

Well let's just say, I am so happy it's the weekend. However DS2 has been a nightmare. I went to bed at 10pm and as soon as I got into bed, the crying began and it carried on all the way through to 6.45am this morning  I had to sleep with him on me and even then he wouldn't stop, refused milk and when I finally settled, as soon as I put him down, it started all over again. I have literally had about 2 hours sleep! And the little monster decides at 7am when I have to get up that he will now settle alone and sleep :naughty:

    - school run done
    - popped to mums so free breakfast done
    - nursery run with DD done
    - check banking and final bills to be paid
    - minimal shopping list for tomorrow and meal plan for next week. OHs parents are going to get us some nappies :)
    - school run done
    - Amazon voucher should arrive within 48 hours so will keep a look out. Bulk buy some wipes and small gifts for mums arrived now to think
    - wash at 30 degrees done
    - meals from stores had cereal as felt sick
    - sleep (hopefully)

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Squeezed in a hot bath although DD had to wash me! Not so peaceful.

Sorted trouble with creditor, seems their departments don't communicate so a little update from me was enough. Thankfully!!

    Evening All,

Sorry for the late in the day posting. Had a busy day at work, phew.

    Todays list consisted of:
The usual check of online banking and budget sheet.
Moved money from bank savings account to building society account :)
A full and busy day at work. More hours mean more wages next month ;)
The OH created yet another day of washing  currently drying on the airer.
Took a small amount of money from savings account for day trip to London tomorrow :T off to see Ralph Fiennes in The Master Builder I am sooo excited :j :j

'Tis a small but good list if we ignore the OH bit :rotfl:

Hope everyone is well and had a good day. Have a lovely weekend folks. Keep smiling :)

    Honesty update will arrive shortly......:o
  • Evening all :) to be honest not a great day, been decidedly grumpy, stemming mainly from work, but at home and ended up with me being short with the smalls :(

Am also frustrated about some home stuff which is just increasing my stress levels and takes me back to somewhere I was a couple of years ago which is not good. Girls just watching a film and then I think we'll all be off to bed. Hopefully a good nights sleep will add some perspective :o

    Hope everyone is doing ok.

  • Thanks for your kind thought Ziggy and Bob. I'm the sort of person that just takes it all on, but a few things recently have made me think differently about things, time to push back I think

Hope you're both ok too, sending hugs X
