bathroom tap spray insert

My bathroom sink tap had a small plastic spray insert where the water comes out which made the water come out in a spray pattern like a mini shower, its been there since I moved in so I assume it came with tap. It is still present in the cold tap but the hot tap one has now deteriorated and I have removed, all thats left is just a small plastic ring now as all the spray/filter bit that was in the middle has gone. It seemed to be just pushed in, not screwed in as I could just lever it out now the middle has gone. I am trying to find a replacement and have tried googling and nothing that looks like it came up.
Does anyone know what this is called and whether I can get a replacement as I am used to the water coming out as a spray and now it seems like its gushing out.
Thanks

Google "tap spout filters" or "tap aerators" there are plenty of suppliers for all shapes, and sizesLive each day like its your last because one day you'll be right0

I had trouble finding one.
Trouble with online is getting the right one to fit.
Bathroom/DIY stores don't stock.
try one of the bigger/better plumbers merchants. Take the ring with you to compare size (or remove tap).
Or just buy a new tap!0 -
Thanks for the suggestions, I have had another google and still not found anything that looks right, they all seem to be the type you screw into the tap and too big. I have a spare tap and the broken part. I am sure there will be some local plumber merchants I can try.0
