Why dont you try Nationwide, MBNA and Barclaycard all of which will indicate your chances of a successful application without harming your credit file. Plus you avoid the Lloyds Banking Group!

I transferred a big balance from Bank of Scotland to Lloyds last year, and Lloyds gave me a huge credit limit. I'd be surprised if that's why the OP was declined. Surely it's just too much debt.
