kronospan laminate ?

Hi there !
We were in Carpetright today ( not actually planning on looking at Laminate )
Anyway, she who must be obeyed took a distinct liking to a Kronospan pattern - SAN DIEGO OAK
The version in the shop was 7mm and was 11.99 per m2.
I checked out the flooringsupplies.co.uk site as I had received an email from them ( had some samples a while back in another pattern ) and they do the same stuff as above, slightly more expensive, BUT 12MM THICK !!
So my first question is : Where does Kronospan sit in the laminate hierarchy ? - I can see its not the most expensive, but reviews are decent so hopefully it will do the job fine.
2nd question is re underlay - flooringsupplies offer free natura foam underlay,, but they do state it is not suitable for going over concrete which is what we have.
They say that underlay with a DMP is required - they have a "SILVER" version @ £42 per roll, which has acoustic rating of 18db, and a "GOLD" version @ £51 per roll with acoustic rating of 22db.
I have also seen the green stuff in blocks/sheets at places like Wickes & Screwfix, but I have no idea whats best ?
Advice appreciated, thanks
