MBNA Hidden charges?

Hi there. I was approached by a PPI claims company as I had an MBNA credit card (paid off in 2006). They said although I didnt take out PPI, MBNA had factored it into their interest charges etc and so I was still eligible to make a claim. Does anyone know if there is any truth in this? If so, I may like to try and make a claim myself rather than going through a third party.

This is just claims company nonsense.
PPI was never included in interest charges and would have appeared on every monthly statement individually itemised.
If it didn't appear on your statements then you either didn't have PPI at all or you paid off your account in full every month and so weren't charged any PPI.
The PPI debacle is that it was frequently mis-sold to customers who neither wanted or needed it. There are no recorded instances were the insurance was fraudulently "hidden" in other charges.0 -

That is not possible.oes anyone know if there is any truth in this?
No. its complete BS. Its the sort of thing that scamming CMCs say as they attempt to mis-sale their services. Ironically, for very much the same reasons that banks mis-sold PPI in the first place.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Even if it was true, it wouldn't give rise to anything that you could complain about.
If a credit card company wanted to pay for some insurance out of their own money, that would be their own business.0
