Replacing Heating System - Fair Quote?

Hi All
I have just moved house and the central heating is very poor. We use LPG gas and a septic tank. I have a back boiler which is at least 20 years old. I have received 4x quotes/estimates. This is the best estimate I have received. Is there anything anyone can advise? I live in a 5 bed house with 4 reception rooms. 3 rooms currently have storage heaters and 2 rooms don't need replacement radiators but the pipework needs addressing. One radiator also needs moving to a more suitable position.
Please let me know if there is any more information to supply.
Thanks in advance.
Supply and install a Viessmann Vitodens 100 30 kw combination boiler to the airing cupboard taking the flue up through the
roof.
Supply and install 14 panel radiators to the positions discussed.
Radiators to be fitted with thermostatic valves.
Supply and install a magnictic filter.
Supply and install a rf programmable room thermostat.
Replace exsisting pipe work running the downstairs feeds down the walls as discussed.
Test and commission as per manufactures instructions.
Supply and install a bath shower tap.
Please note the gas will be addressed if needed.
£5,783.00
As above but installing a Vaillant Ecotec plus 32 kw boiler add, £185.00

Not sure why you are asking if the quote is "fair". Fairness doesn't come into it. Either you accept the quote, or you accept a different quote.
I'm sure the installer thinks that it's "fair".
Probably, you need to swop the word fair for the word reasonable..
Others with more up to date pricing experience will be along shortly I expect.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Are you off the gas grid? What construction is the house, how long do you intend to live in it?0
