This ebay item - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271710324113 apart from having a riduculous price cannot have any purpose - it is just a BNC male to BNC female or in other words a very very short extension. Apparently 57 sold too.
I've seen stuff with silly prices on eBay before and guessed it was the sellers way of making sure none were sold when out of stock without taking the listing down. Or maybe just sausage fingers.
Anyhow speculations on usage please. Or maybe an explanation but one certainly eludes me.

That second one is so much cheaper - a real bargain! My dear late father-in-law would've had a dozen.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Fleabay is a funny place and there are all sorts of crazy people out there.
I once sold a guitar tuition DVD that I'd had and leaned all the songs.
It was no good to me and worth next to nothing, you could buy it new with free delivery from Amazon for about a tenner, second hand were even cheaper.
I put it on at 99p with no reserve and was amazed when two people got into a bidding war over it. I thought they were time wasters and I'd never hear from the winner and have to raise a case to sort it out.
Bidding went to £61 and the winning bidder payed withing an hour of the auction ending.
To this day I have never figured it out.One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
If you click on the '57 sold' link it shows they have actually sold for less than a pound.
He's just raised the price while waiting for stock.0 -
I use one regularly in a transceiver to connect an external aerial. I think they're more designed as a convertor/connector rather than an extension. :cool:0

They don't convert anything. The BNC connector they connect onto is identical to the opposite end of the thing.
I have quite a few different BNC adaptors but they all have a different connector type on the other end.0 -
