Staying on track - very long February

That's us too. No commission or bonuses in our line of work so no surprise windfalls...income stays stable which I suppose is a good thing but unlike some people on here whose diaries I have been reading we will sort out all our money tomorrow and then can't do anything except keep tracking spending again until 31 March.0

The only thing I can try and do, is try and be careful with my money this month now, and anything left in my account by next payday, whack that in too, we will get there. Total Mortgage amount borrowed
£129,176.55 Dmr 2005/ £90,485.00
Current savings £3000:T0 -
Yeah this February feels longer than ever...
I get paid weekly so I don't have such a longing for payday but at the same time I feel like I never have much in the coffers...0 -
Got paid and cleared cc1 and cc2. Cc1 is mine and is cut up. Cc2 belongs to OH and locked away now. Took £160 off cc3 as got to work this morning was there about 5 mins when got a call to collect DS2 who had fallen in school. I walk to work so had to take taxi to go get him. We got the bus back but £20 gone in 5 mins. Will have to come out of haircuts/clothes pot.0

My mountain was massive. It's gone now. What I have learned about money has been amazing. What I have learned about attitude to 'stuff' has been amazing. I feel like my whole personality and life has been put through a hot wash and spin but I've come out sparkly.
Because of my debt, I found things to do for free. I lost weight because I walked more, I made new friends who weren't interested in what I had, but were interested in me. I learned to cook. I taught my daughter the value of money and I fell in love with a man who stood by my side throughout. In fact, Im glad I went through the experience.
:T Never again will the wolf get so close to my door :eek:0 -
This is a very motivating thread!
I get so frustrated that I only have a small amount to pay off my debts once a month. I am working my way through my house eBaying stuff though so this is one way to feel like I'm making progress - watching my paypal account build up and decluttering at the same time! Once it hits £100, then I will make a lump sum payment off one of my cards.New total: £24,006
I will do this.0
