Congratulations on winning a luxury EE BAFTA goody bag!

Just to update you that your prize will be sent out to you next week and we will drop you a note once it is on its way so you know when to keep an eye out for it.

Do let us know if you have any questions in the meantime.

Thanks,

    Dispute it, that's ridiculous.

I'd fire an email back and say something to the effect of:

    Dear Georgia,

I opened the original email and was totally elated at such a fabulous prize, and then totally dismayed and upset at the second. No idea how you can actually send me a personal email stating I'm a winner then withdrawing it with no explanation, I'm thoroughly disappointed.

I'd like to take this further as I'm embarrassed and upset at receiving a genuine winning email from yourself and then to be told it's an error.

Could you please give me the details of your manager so I can bring this to their attention or I will ask the IPm and ASA to look into this to save me from further upset.

    Regards

I personally wouldn't let this go without at least some effort of trying to resolve it. That's one helluva prize to walk away from.

    Good luck

Oh i'd definitely be firing off a few emails to Georgia
  • I understand mistakes happen but they could have at least offered you a consolation prize as a way of saying sorry!
  • If they have just sent it to you or a few people in error, absolutely complain. However, if it is similar to Boots Barcelona trip competition a few months back where everybody that entered was told they had won, you may find it harder to get anywhere!

Not good 'PR' I would have thought.
  • Maybe you should ask her "Who DID win it then?".

All too often it is insiders ( or friends ) who get the prizes.

Media run competitions are some of the worst for that.

Any evidence to back up this statement?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Not very 'sharp' there was she.

I'd go f**king nuts. I mean if it was a toilet roll then ok, but a BAFTA goody bag. I'd send her doggie poop bags from the dog park if she did that to me. Think Godfather - horse's heads etc.

    That is not on!
