  • Afternoon all,

Very cold today but sunny intervals this afternoon. Was surprised to see a snow flurry about eight this morning though which thankfully hasn't returned.

Washed and changed bed today and will do DS2's in a while. Not much else to report.

Pizza for tea :) Last episode of Jericho tonight - not really sure where it is going?

Been to the clinic today for a steroid injection in my left wrist, so hopefully that will kick in quickly.

Csarina better fotune for you, m'dear. What a rotten time you've been having lately! Flippin' 'eck, if a Dr said "embolism" to me I think I'd freak out! Hope they can get to the bottom of it all and get you to rights quickly.

Lainey I did think it was sweet of Bill to stop for you to have your coughing fit. Animals understand more than we give them credit for.:o

    Evening all,

Another dry day, without the sun but pleasant enough. Did a little necessary food shopping on my way to DD4 where the idea was that she would have a lie down as one twin is up at least twice at night and DD is tired all the time.....didnt work out as MTwin has a cold and couldnt settle.....most unlike her, DD felt unable to leave me to manage both of them, so no nap for her today.

JackieO enjoy your brother's visit, it will be wonderful to catch up.....nothing like face to face chat to sort out the world with a sibling.

Judi......sympathy on your bladder problem......nothing worse than being up all night.

Ruby.....good luck to DD with driving lessons......think that they should be part of every senior school curriculum.

Hester......you do seem even busier than usual......can you slow down a bit?

Csarina....when is your health going to be looked after?. Hopefully OH will be able to attend his appointments.

LW......hope that your steroid injection works......quickly.

We have a general election here tomorrow, I have been doing my usual please vote to all and sundry, get really mad with people who grumble about the government and then admit that they didnt bother to vote, thereby in my opinion negating any rightto grumble...some countries make it compulsory to vote, not a bad idea I reckon. Am very concerned at what may be the outcome as some very unsavoury characters seem to be gaining popularity.

    Stay safe and well

  • Quick post from me been a very long and at times challenging day .
got home a couple of hours ago shattered . It's been another blue sky , sunny day but the coldest so far . I thought it had snowed when I got up very early this morning . It was actually inches deep frost and the roads and pavements were lethal . However so good to have three sunny days in a row .
Hugs to all the poorlies and stressed .
Csarina I hope things are less fraught today .
Be gone to all UTIs and similar .
Lw I hope the injection eases your pain .
Jackie I bet you've talked yourself hoarse by now . Enjoy !
Special mention to Bill who sounds very empathetic and lovely .
Big shout out to Elona ( who I hope is sleeping now .) Hope all goes well and thinking of you all .
Martin may smack my wrist but I have to confess to buying a ready meal in M&S and it wasn't even yellow stickered . That's me on the naughty step :rotfl::rotfl:Either that or I wouldn't have had eaten .tonight -too tired .
Earlyish night now . Take care all . Hope to see you tomorrow .

There but for fortune go you and I.
  • Managed to get OH for his appointment with the nurse, it's healing ok, stitches out n tuesday.

We went for a walk when OH got up after his siesta, 30 minutes round the village.

We have an early start tomorrow, OH has to be at the hospital at 9.20 and it could be another long day. Hopefully we will get to my friends before lunch rather than afterwards.

I did have a bad day in one way. Managed to burn the stew in the pressure cooker, threw a casserole lid across the ceramic hob on the cooker and lost an onion down the side of the cooker. Thank God it's fish tomorrow night, hopefully I will be able to do that without ruining it.

Time to turn in, night night........

Moving house tomorrow and some removal people came today to start to help me pack up. DD came to help as well and will pick me up tomorrow after work to stay with her overnight before all the family come round to the new house on Saturday to help me settle in.

I might not have internet etc for a couple of weeks so will pop in and say hello when I can. I am hoping the new house will feel like a fresh start and less as if I have "been left" now there is only me most of the time.

    Hugs to all.
