Creating a Facebook group, to sell items?

If you want to sell musical items and they are in a specific niche, is it ok to create a facebook group, and invite people to this group. so that some of them people would intend to buy the items? (where you can email them and arrange payment/ parceling)

The people that would be added to the group, would be searched for / whom have an interest in the items for sale), which would take a bit of time, but can be done.

Is this something that can be done on facebook, without getting in trouble? any thing to avoid ?

There are lots of selling groups on face book. If you do set up a group I would recommend only asking a few friends to join at first.
I would not add anyone without a pm message to them, as if you just add them they may not like it.
If you only want certain people to join then a closed group would be better for you to create if you do set up a group.

Have to say if I got a message from someone I didn't know asking me to join a group selling stuff I would instantly think SCAM. Not saying yours is, just that there are plenty people out there trying to scam others.
