selling car Gumtree/autotrader

Has anyone sold or had enquiry for selling a car advertised on Gumtree/auto trader from anyone from isle of man ie they are going to ship it back etc pay deposit by bank transfer and balance on collection by bank transfer?

    If they're transferring from a bank account to you and you're confident of their identity shouldnt be a problem.

    I sold several cars from here in NI unseen to buyers on the mainland via a similar way.

    Actually - i've bought a couple that way too from the mainland.

    Make sure its a bank transfer though

    If they are sending you money prior to seeing the vehicle I would suggest before giving bank details establishing their identity, copy of driving licence etc, and of course don't release the car until you have cleared funds. As Paul said bank transfer only. No Western Union etc.
