Cheap tablet - browsing/podcasts only

Currently confined to bed for a few days and it has made me realise I want to buy a tablet - laptop is too big/clumsy and tainted by email/work. Have looked elsewhere in this forum but nothing seems to answer my needs!
Just want to be able to listen to podcasts and browse the internet a bit. Might use it for looking up recipes in kitchen when I am better. Don't watch videos, listen to music, game, take photos etc. and will only use where wifi is available or listen offline. Don't want a Kindle Fire - not a fan of Amazon or Kindle.
Probably looking to spend about £85 -£100. Prefer Android. (Probably just as well! :rotfl:)
PC advisor says Hudl2 (Ebay only now) but am wondering whether even that is too much for what I want. Happy to buy secondhand if I know what I am looking for. I like simple and robust...

Thank you both, these definitely look like they would do the job very well. This one seems very similar and is £15 cheaper - is it any good (it says it can take a 64GB card.. not sure whether that would be needed or not..) ? Or is it worth paying the extra? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lenovo-A8-8-Inch-Tablet-16GB-White-/351577787496?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l63680

I got a refurb Acer A1-810 (8") from the Argos Ebay store about 3 years ago. Cost £60 and hasn't missed a beat since then even though I use it daily. Battery still as good as when I bought it, no dead pixels and the processor still stands up as reasonably fast.
Definitely go 8" rather than 7" if you can.0 -
I'm still a fan of the 2013 Nexus 7 - officially up to date with Marshmallow with no messing around.0

Interesting you should say that almillar, my son is insistent that is the best way to go.0
