Most high street banks, other than Metro have now withdrawn this service. There have been several other threads discussing this.0

Not for 'new' customers they don't though existing deposits can still be stored
Again in the spirit of this thread all the information is out there in Google - and on balance a Google source seems more accurate than some of the statements to be found on this forum.

No they don't.
If you used the service prior to the cut off date when it was withdrawn then they will still have the envelope in their vaults and you can still use it but they will not accept anything with an instinsic value such as cash, jewellery, firearms etc.
They have not accepted new items for at least 5 years.0
