How can I get £10? Do I have to get payday loan! :(

Hi all,

Really worried - I have a bill to come out instantly and have been told will affect my credit rating if not paid by today. It is only £10 but my parents are on holiday and I don't get paid until Friday!

I have applied for paypal credit but to no avail and I don't want to apply to a payday loan for £10!

What do I do? :(

Thanks,
Lancy

Take whatever you're posting on to cex or cash converters. Sell some DVDs etc to these cash places like cex.

Then start building some savings so you're not in this position for £10 again

Don't pay the bill? Use your overdraft, use a credit card, sell something, pawn something to buy back later, phone a friend.

Most friends will lend a tenner in an emergency-they would be risking too much if they went much higher-to secure your friendship you can give them something of great value to hold onto until the loan is repaid such as a high value mobile phone, a tablet or a laptop. Friendships do fall out over unpaid debts but if you're going to let them hold on to something worth £100 then it shouldn't be a problem.

Last resort...get a payday loan but it's going to cost a lot of money...maybe much more than the fee for late payment.

    Thanks - helpful.

I don't have many friends - quite shy, have text a couple but just waiting...

You're at work and completing surveys? How?

If you're not doing anything and your presence is not required then go home and earn some cash. It's almost 4PM now..I'm sure you could find stuff at home to pawn before 5.30PM and get that cash deposited into your bank account.

If you really are at work then just ask your boss for an advance.

Your bank may pay it anyway and put you in an unauthorised overdraft, meaning you will have a lot of fees until you can pay it back.

If you could earn 10 in less than a couple of hours doing surveys then everyone would be doing it so a non starter there I'm afraid

Can't you borrow off a mate or your boss if you explain?

Was the bill unexpected or poor planning on your part? Will it really affect your rating or are they just scaremongering you into paying quickly?

What is the bill for? Might help our responses if we know.

My work is home based, and you are right, i managed to do a couple before I couldn't do anything else.

The nearest CEX is 40 minutes away, it shuts at 5, I need to find some items. It just isn't feasible.

Have you got no-one you can borrow a tenner from?
    Anything you can pawn?

If you count up lose change around the house / back of sofa / in the car, etc, does that help?

Boss no way! Asked my best mates but they work on the road so doubt they'll see it. Pretty poor planning on my part, forgot to set up direct debit.

It's already late but today is last day of grace period.

I am trying your suggestions, just hard!
