Hi
A quick update i recently won my reconsideration an got awards standard care rate. I'm happy about it that i can start to get more support in place however my support worker still think i should of received High Rate.
Orignally i was awarded Nil on both elemts.
Now i got 8 points care and 4 point mobility.
Im quite impressed how long it taken 3 weeks for my reconsideration.
Also i dont agree how long they have given for review which is 12 months.

If you're not happy with the reconsideration you can always appeal this decision, But this doesn't guarantee that you will get more points or a longer award, It might even mean you lose points which in turn may lose PIP.
So it's basically a gamble. But if you have good evidence to support your disability and care and support needs and have the backing of support workings, Then only you can make that choice.0
