BT Anytime question.

I am with BT and and taken out the Line Saver option of paying a year upfront to get 10% off.
I am now looking at the anytime option at £7.95 a month.
I assume this means my call charges will never go above this amount every month?
My usual call charges vary between £10 to £18 per month.
Or am I missing something?
I have not counted calls to mobiles as I rarely call them.

Yes. BT Anytime includes an unlimited number of calls to geographic numbers starting 01 and 02 and non-geographic numbers starting 03 - as long as each call is less than 60 minutes long. To talk for longer, hang up and re-dial before 60 minutes has elapsed.
Calls to mobile numbers starting 071-075 and 077-079 are half price at 6p per minute instead of 12p per minute.
Calls to 080 and 0500 numbers are free.
Calls to 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers incur an Access Charge of 10.24p per minute plus the Service Charge demanded by the organisation you are calling.
Wherever you see an 084 or 087 number advertised always try calling the matching 034 or 037 number first.
BT Anytime also has inclusive calls to premium 0845 and 0870 numbers (restrictions apply), but there should be almost no need to call these numbers now.
If you are prepared to get your broadband from someone other than BT, you could have gone for BT Home Phone Saver. This offers line rental and all of the above for £20.99 per month and the price is guaranteed until 2018.0 -
Thanks ian011.
I am with BT for my broadband at the moment but will probably stick with them as there is not a lot of choice where I am living (West Devon) and it was such a pain to get it in the first place.0 -
There is loads of choice, even on a non-LLU exchange, if that's what you are on. Plusnet being the obvious example, but dozens of other BT resellers exist too, some local, some national. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
