It has all turned out well in the end.
I applied successfully, got quoted a fee of £55.49 for my money transfer.
Got the money used it to pay off my mortgage saving £210.
No correspondence stated anything about the fee in writing from then on.
When prompted to sign up for online banking noticed fee of £220.
Phoned them, after consultation and listening to call they said I had mentioned balance transfer, this I disputed as I have little to transfer I PAY OFF IN FULL.
They offered £25 off fee, I took it but still told them I was unhappy and would look it it it further.
Emailed customer services had used money transfer card link to apply online had a quote etc etc....
They refunded money so that I only paid the £55.45
Said that They do not have a money transfer only card...and sorry for confusion....
I still really don't know how my application for a money transfer card turned into a balance transfer card, suffice to say it all turned out well in the end and I got what I wanted.
BUT DO TAKE CARE ENSURE YOU GET THE CORRECT DEAL WHEN APPLYING.
