Hi everyone,
Tru, it sounds wonderful, I shall have to persuade DH to go this weekend if the weather is nice, but we shall probably drive because it only takes about 45 minutes. Re the abs, it's odd isn't it that we keep getting warned about overuse and yet when I was on them for about 4 years the GP was totally unconcerned. If it works though do it, I'm glad you're feeling better.
Hester, take care of yourself, you seem to be taking on more and more on top of a stressful job!
I have a long day alone ahead of me because DD is taking DH out tonight to a restaurant she needs to review, I'm going to treat myself to the dover sole that is sitting in the freezer - DH hates whole fish (squeamish much)so it's a good opportunity to eat it. My chocolate embargo continues, I haven't bought any since 5th Jan but I have eaten a little (a choc in a restaurant that came with the bill and a piece of the cake I made DD). I thought the weight would go down steadily if I didn't eat any chocolate (it was one of my major food groups I'm afraid)but annoyingly it hasn't, it is going down, very, very slowly.
Have a good day.0 -
Good morning all,
Cold and frosty here but a beautiful blue sky so I must get some washing on the go.
Went to the hairdressers yesterday morning and the carpet estimator visited yesterday afternoon. The price he quoted was very favourable so we have ordered carpet for the stairs and landing and having wood laminate in the vestibule hall, should be a couple of weeks until fitting.
Dumpling I am sorry you are not feeling well. My dear grandad used to say to us as children if we were not well," put you in a sack and shake you up" would that help:). I do hope you start to feel better soon. Will the coming of spring help?
Csarina good luck with the results of the blood tests, I hope it is something that can be sorted, perhaps DH is coming out in sympathy with you. I hope his arm heals well.
TA it sounds as though you both had a wonderful day, more like that I say.
Elona, how exciting, once things were sorted everything has moved so quickly. I don't envy you the move itself, but exciting to be able to make the place your own.
Lainey enjoy your time with Bill, I hope the weather is as good for you as it is here.
Hester I have an idea you might meet yourself coming back one of these days:)
Have a lovely time all

SNOOZER I really hope this lovely weather continues into the weekend for you. Still flipping cold at night though! I forgot to say I thought of you yesterday when the train passed through Hellifield! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Judi
I am so pleased about your news!
I have now made most of the phone calls I needed to make re utilities, council tax etc. I have two big suitcases to put clothes that will not fit in wardrobe carriers and odds and ends. I still have a lot of boxes to assemble and label.
I need to nip out and get more black bin bags and a bite to eat so hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

TA - our house was built in the 1870's by one of the railway companies and the line passes in front of the windows of our top floor, we often see steam trains going past. Thankfully it's not a busy line and no high speed trains.0
