Setting Aside Application

Options
Hello there!

I have recently started tackling my debts and have cleared my non ccj debts both on and off my credit file in the last few weeks. Hopefully by the spring I can start tackling my ccjs too.

I have 3, I am in no way disputing I owe the monies and I plan to pay it all back one at a time. I was very bad with money, and had to leave my previous property suddenly after an assault. I went into depression / denial mode and it's only in the last few months I've started to focus on my future and my finances and not living mentally day-to-day.

Upon digging deeper I have noticed that they were all issued to the property several months after I left, this is shown on my credit file also where I registered in my new home on the electoral roll.

Would this be grounds to apply to apply to have the ccj put aside?

And if so would it be best to do so before I make payment or before? Or does it not make a difference?

Like I said I will pay everything I owe, but if I can do positive things to improve my credit rating I would like to try.

Thank you in advance

you CAN apply for a set aside if the papers were sent to your old address a long time after you moved , a normal person would have mail re direct for 3 or maybe 6 mths , so if the gap was greater then try it , NO NOT make any payments now , the setaside will cost you £155 (reduced if on benefits) however even after a set aside , they can take you to court again , so you will have to prove at the set aside that you would have had a good chance of winning if you had of been in court.
