Good evening,
Apologise if this topic has already been discussed in a different thread but I could not find anything.
I have just been issued a PCN by Parking Enforcement & Security Services (BPA member). The charge reason is "parked in a disable bay without a disabled badge displayed".
The thing is I was not in disable bay but in a family bay. Arguably there was a new sign that I only noticed as I was looking around to understand the reason for the fine, the sign was stating that you need a red badge (?) to park there.
I guess my question is: is the PCN valid? if yes could you advise what should be the wording for the appeal?
Thank you

Do you have any pictures? The sign and the wording on it would be useful, plus the bay and any bay markings.Je Suis Cecil.0

I am afraid I cannot post link as I am new to the forum.
The marking on the floor is the normal family marking with a pram. The sign above the space indicates "vehicles displaying blue or red badge only".0 -
But the same appeal as in the NEWBIES thread applies to all cases, at this simple first stage.
The PCN will be useful later, at POPLA if PESS are still a BPA Aos member. You can show us a broken link...remove the http.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Print the links in a reply here but change the http to hxxp and they should then be linkable by me or any other longer term member.Je Suis Cecil.0

Link doesn't work for me, possibly because onedrive is on the OP's computer.
Try uploading the photo to a web hosting site such as tinypic or photobucket then post the URL here with http changed to hxxp.
Worked ok for me.
It's a 'Parent & Toddler' bay. Not sure where 'disable bay' or 'red/blue badge' comes into play. PESS have not (yet?) joined the underworld; they are still BPA members, so POPLA will sort this out in due course.
For the present @OP, follow the guidance in post #1 of the newbies sticky. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It's working for me as well now, but definitely wasn't in the early hours when I first tried.
Are the symbols explained on the signs? It looks like someone stood next to a wood chipper or snow blower to me.
Oh, and it's different to the image on the red and white sign above the car. Therefore the OP wasn't parked in a parent and child bay because that bay would have had the symbol on the sign not the symbol on the floor now wouldn't it?
Talk about unclear signage.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Indeed. About time we thumped a team instead of scraping home by the odd goal, backs to the wall defending for the last 10 mins!Je Suis Cecil.0
