Volvo XC90 sat nav update problems

Bit of a long shot, I know, but just wondering if anyone on here knows anything about updating a volvo xc90 sat nav?
It's a 2010 model and when purchased had no disc in it at all, so sat nav wouldn't work as it was saying please insert a disc.
I bought one off ebay, a 2014 update, which "should" work in this model, it seems to be a genuine volvo one. It started the update fine, all going as it should, took 3hrs, then asked for disc 2, when I put that in I'm getting a message saying its an invalid disc. Tried shutting engine off and restarting again a few times, disc is clean, so no idea why it's saying it.
Anyone got any ideas?
Really don't want to have to get Volvo to do it as will cost £££s.
Many thanks.

My Seat went in for its first service. The garage updated the satnav maps and didn't charge which I thought was excellent service.

Quentin - Why? The seller said they were genuine discs, they look genuine discs. Surely if not the sat nav would not have even started updating? Reading volvo forums and lots of people saying to buy off ebay and even download from net and make your own.

giraffe69 - shame volvo don't have the same customer service as seat then, volvo want £180 just for discs, let alone doing the update for you. The updates are known to take hours so would no doubt charge you hours in labour.

It sounds as if the first disc is working fine, but the second disc is not the one it's expecting as a follow-on.

    Get back to the vendor.

Thanks it does seem that way, can't work out why though, they have same numbers on etc, only thing I could see as problem is a tiny scratch. Though I've played a lot worse through my dvd player.
I've just had a reply back from her. She assures me its genuine volvo and that it worked fine on their volvo (albeit a different model, yet still on list on disc). She has said I can return for money back, but that doesn't help my situation. As now the sat nav thinks its in update mode and every time you turn key it pops up and wont go down till keys are out.

I tried downloading/creating a new Sat Nav disc for my Civic Sat Nav. The file downloaded fine, ripped it to a DVD, but when i put it in the car, the car didnt recognise it. Not sure if i didnt rip the file to the DVD in the right format, but it wasnt as simple as i thought it would be...

i saw this website a few times, but dont know much about it... http://www.satnavdiscsale.com/

From what I've read on a volvo forum, some dvd units will only recognise + or - dvd's and there does seem to be a way of how you copy it to the disc (not just a straight drag and drop). They have worked out how to do it on forum and seem to do it for each other.
The discs we have aren't copies though, I'm sure of it, it wouldn't have done the first one if it was. The problem has to be with 2nd disc. I'm going to try cleaning it again today and make sure it is the right one.

    Presumably those are bootlegged copies?

The website seems to ignore legal requirements. http://www.ukwda.org/blog/is-your-website-legal
