So a very silly question.
I am thinking of changing Gas/Elec suppliers.
1. Is Dual fuel going to be the cheapest?
2. Do i need to let my existing providers know that i am leaving and provide a last meter reading?
3. Anything else?
Help appreciated

Run both dual fuel and separate gas and electric through a comp site. I ve just done that in the S.Yorks area and the separate gas/electric was in front for my low usage, whereas a higher user it may not be. Suppliers like Zog Energy and GB Energy and Daligas were coming up cheaper overall but no WHD is available with those suppliers.
No you dont have to let your supplier know.that is done by the gaining supplier.Use the Cheap energy club for cashback.0 -
Thanks!
I have started this process. When i attempt to process it it comes up with an exit fee of £20 for both my suppliers even though i am on a standard tariff with both...so a total of £40?
Why is that?0 -
Check your own bills & T&Cs for your existing supplier to see what penalties you might incur for leaving early - not what the comparison site says.
Generally "standard" tariffs don't have an exit fee but check what your contract saysNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
