Easter Egg Cake Molds
Options
We have 11 grandchildren, soon to be 12, and I love to craft with them. I organise crafting sessions according to the seasons, and our niece with her 3 littlies come along also so lots of fun. I am now planning for Easter and I want to make some Easter egg shaped cakes which they will decorate with chocolate, sprinkles, icing and fondant flowers. I have all the materials I need except for the mold. I have seen many egg moulds but they are either too small or plastic so I can't bake them. Small won't work as they are young and will finish quickly and it will be fiddly. I have seen many of the silicone moods which would be fine for the oven but size is small. I want to make the cakes about the price of a £1 chocolate egg. And of course it needs to be Money Saving.

Perhaps have a look at the larger easter egg cookie cutters and see what depth of sponge you could cut with them.
Then do tray bake sponge and cut egg shapes out.
With the left over sponge you could freeze it and then use for trifle.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Lakeland have had them in the past, and ebay has a lot of them, from silicone to metal bakeware.0
