Slow cooker parts - Morphy Richards

Has anyone so far needed a replacement lid etc for their slow cooker. My slow cooker is not even that old and has hardly been used until recently, sat in the cupboard for a good while. Anyway, the knob on the lid has cracked, non repairable, the plastic is soooo thin anyway. Anyone know how much it costs for another one, can you just get the knob and bits and pieces or would I have to buy a whole new lid. Nothing actually wrong with the lid, just the knob. Will call them tomorrow or email, just with it being Sunday, thought I'd get more joy on here. Thanks for your help. If this is in the wrong place feel free to move it, just thought with it being where the main slow cooker thread is...

Morphy Richards replaced my breadmaker a couple of years ago, when it was about 8 months old "no quibble". So a polite "I'm surprised the lid hasn't lasted, despite low use" may work, even if you are outside the intial warranty period.

Or put the model number in HERE or simply try Morphy Richards spares in Google for a number of other options.

I have to agree with the contacting Morphy Richards. Their customer service is excellent. I rang them to complain about my new slow cooker sticking and they sent me a brand new one and told me to just dispose of the old one :)

Thanks for the tips and quick replies etc. I have managed to salvage what's left of it for the time being, will do for today and I'll call Morphy Richards tomorrow. Thanks a lot, appreciate it.

While we're on the subject SmileyMum, can I just say thanks for the Sausage and Bean Casserole recipe on the recipe index - I christened my new slow cooker with it yesterday and it was delicious! (I used the second version of the recipe, which filled my 4.5 litre cooker almost to the brim.)

I hope your search for a spare lid is successful.

    Update on the above.

I just called Morphy Richards and they stated that they would send out a new skirt etc and knob for the lid and a new thermostat for the slow cooker as it is now coming adrift from the metal body of the cooker. Surely if a product is still under 2 year guarantee I am entitled to a replacement. I know it is still under 2 year guarantee but have yet to find the receipt etc, have credit card statement though stating the price paid at Argos. Pretty annoyed. Hardly used the thing, like a couple of uses, it lay in the cupboard for long enough and now it is dropping to bits and they just send me the bits and I'm supposed to repair it myself?????????????? Looks like their customer service is falling back compared to what is mentioned above.

Morphy Richards just called me this afternoon, told me they couldn't get the parts for the slow cooker as they no longer make the one I have so they said they would send out a new one, same type, size etc, just a digital display on it instead of the switch type one on the old one. WOW!!!:j :j
