Most recently after registering a domain name with crazydomains I started receiving nuisance phone calls from "business energy suppliers".

This morning I received 9 such calls from the exact same company using different area dialing codes. The company is ACTION ENERGY and here are the numbers

I have gone to the effort of putting this on here as I know it will be SEO optimised and when I tried to google the numbers nothing came up, I had to call each number to identify the company. Hopefully this will help someone else out in future.

Now had 10 calls from them, all different numbers on phone, have used mobile to block the numbers but they just keep coming through on different number.

I've asked for their office address twice and been told its in Manchester but then when I've pressed for the address they've hung up!

I can't find the company name when googling them so I'm beginning to suspect this is a scam

I haven't had that from registering domains, but do get a lot of Indian digital design companies contacting me with their services after registering. Now I pay extra for my info to be hidden to avoid this.

Have you registered your telephone number with the TPS, MortgageMamma?

If not, you'll have to allow 28 days from registering, but thereafter, if you receive this type of unsolicited marketing call, you can report them to the TPS and the ICO.
As a business, you may need to re-register every year to the TPS; private numbers are registered until you de-register them.

The ICO can fine companies up to £500,000 for making such calls in contravention of the applicable legislation.
