Looks like a nice day so going to hang out some washing and then tidy kitchen.
After a bit of phoning around yesterday I managed to find another removal firm for this Friday and they are coming round at lunchtime to quote. I still have not been told contracts are exchanged and completed so can't phone utility companies etc yet
Planning to sort out stuff in my wardrobes today and throw out anything I don't want. Have bags of things to take to charity shop later.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Morning,
Snoozer - Happy Birthday to your DD
Csarina - Hope it all goes well at the DRs
Back to work this morning for me. Had a bit of a to do with the boss this morning. Ended with them flouncing off - not very professional in my opinion!
Off to take my little car for it's first MOT this afternoon and have to say although it should be ok, I am very nervousVery silly but it feels like a visit to the dentist for the car!!! Think I am going mad
Enjoy the rest of the day folks.0 -
Morning,
a restless nights sleep for me. Just mithering about Mother again. I'll ring later but i am not going to see her again till the weekend. I need some space so that i can think clearly and not emotionally.
Not much to do today but i need to sort out the contents of my freezer. Ive got 3 packets of king size prawns i want to use up. I might do a fish pie for the weekend (only problem is that Youngest doesnt like fish).
Having problems with fluid build up in my joints today and the tips of my fingers are numb. Ive had it a few days now. I really need to see my GP but i keep putting it off. I must make an appointment to see him sometime soon. I'm not overly worried about the numbness in my fingers as ive had it before (when i was pregnant) but it needs addressing.
Islandmaid i love your pictures of your daughter and the tribes people. Our daughters are really making a heck of a difference out there. I dont seem to get as many updates about the Baby House as i used to. My daughters time is taken up with running the home and looking after their two adopted children (both with special needs) but i am assured all is well.
Oh well, i'd best get in the bath. Sitting here with a layer of coconut oil on me hair because the greyer i get, the more wirey it feels.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Good morning and thanks to Nmlc . I hope you have a better day at work .
I love the idea of a "sleep bank" Aod - we could all do with one of those . Ta I hope you have a lovely day . The good news is here ( not too far from your destination ) we have clear blue sky - at last ! - the alien object known as the sun is shining and at the moment there is just a gentle breeze . Very cold as we had a very cold night but the frost has melted . I hope you manage to sleep better tonight after your trip .
Csarina Good luck at the doctors and to those with dental trips .
Island maid Lovely pics .
Elona Fingers crossed you get a firm date asap .
I hope Judi has a better day today . Lainey hope you feel much better soon
Washing in at the moment , not much wind out there but the fresh air and sun should help . Henry needs another outing . I hate doing the stairs but needs must . Some ironing and paperwork to tackle and I'll try to fit in a wander around the garden in the next hour or so .
Get well to the poorlies and everyone have the best day you can .

Thank you. The girls do a lot of fund raising and accept donations which goes towards employing staff to help. They do get a lot of unpaid volunteers too which is good.
My latest adopted Grandson is also HIV+. I am assured by my daughter that HIV isnt the death sentence it used to be and is managed by medication. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Sun is bright but the wind is biting here! I've got the front door open anyway as I like fresh air in the house. The scene outside is just glorious though I got a rude awakening when the blg brown bull wandered past my open door heading down the track! I phoned the farmer who soon rounded up the bull.
Digital TV isn't coming today so I'm free. I'm going to tackle the bottom drawer in the unit in the bedroom which is full of tumbled around toiletries. I've got a couple of plastic boxes which I'll use to organise them into as it's a challenge to find anything in the drawer.
Yesterday I rooted out a huge pile of unwanted papers to add to the burning store. There's now loads ready to burn I just need to get a brazier of some sort.
Snowdrops are out and I feel spring-like!
The photos of the babies and your daughters are fabulous. The kids endure such hardship with happiness, it's a delight to see. And the girls doing such great work is something to be proud of.0 -
Went to the Drs. he was quite concerned about my breathlessness, I have had several lots of the red stuff taken and have to go to the Drs again in the morning for the results.
Just got back, OH came in, he had lost his balance in the garden and hit hie elbow, got him inside.....blood everywhere, he had taken a crescent shaped piece of skin off just under his elbow. I managed to close it to and stopped it bleeding, put a gauze dressing over it and phoned the Dr. Bandaged it up and took him down. Long story short he has had 4 stitches in it, brilliant....not. Really fouled up my week one way or another. We were going to Aldi tomorrow, looks like a Sunday visit now, I will not be going to the quilters lunch, although I will make it to the class . Fridays visits are still going ahead hopefully, but I will have to do the driving.
It never rains but it pours..............
At least I have managed one thing, One of Nicks friends has arranged to bring the freezer over for me, it will be a couple of weeks but thats not a problem, at least we can get it here.0 -
Hi all,
and hugs to those in need.Csarina I think you need one x
Minding DGS today & when DH & DS2 go off to work very early I struggle to get Ly1a walked. Luckily DS1 could spare 1/4 hr so we told DGS we were going in the woods for a dinosaur hunt with the dog- he loved it,& I put 2 of his little dinosaurs in my pocket and 'planted' them. His face was a picture :rotfl:Then after lunch it's so lovely but cold today that we were going to the park but he fell asleep by the time we got to the end of the road so came back and he's on the settee.
DH birthday today,I got the marks italian meal deal yesterday as it'll be late by the time DGS goes.I made a cake yesterday so DGD could'help' with decorating it but we did the candles so they could sing to himI went in town yesterday and bought him a new shirt,we're going out with friends at the weekend and he always seems to wear the same ones.
Nothing much else happening so I shall sign off wishing you all a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Judi and islandmaid, you should be so proud of your daughters and the wonderful work they are doing.
Nmlc.......technology is wonderful when it works, but a bi### when it fails!
We seem to have acquired asecond squirrel.......poor Mossy is going mad as they are so much faster than he is!
Csarina......you poor love, it seems to be one thing after another! Please make yourself top of the list until the medics have sorted out your breathlessnes.
