Hi, we've had a parking notice issued from G24 for a B&M car park in Falkirk, and haven't yet had any success persuading B&M to cancel it, so we've taken to social media and created a blog to see if that can might their minds.

Any RTs or shares would be greatly appreciated, and we will of course report back if we are successful!

Make sure your Blog tells people NOT to go and appeal and name the driver! :eek:

Have a word with tradingstandards@falkirk.gov.uk. G24's paperwork is misleading in that it implies the Keeper is liable in Scotland. TS know and so does IPC and G24.

So ask TS to check if you have one of the misleading versions of their letter (very likely). If it does then put in a formal complaint about it to Trading Standards.

The particular phrase you are looking for is at the end of the penultimate paragraph which starts 'Please be warned' is the phrase:

"we do not know the name of the current driver and the address for service for the driver, you (i.e. a Keeper in Scotland) may be liable for further charges"

The person who gets the ANPR letter is the Keeper and the Keeper cannot be liable for "further" charges or any charges at all. So if your parking charge letter says that, then get busy with TS

Thanks for that bit of advice, IamEmanresu. The letter does indeed use that phrase, so we'll drop TS a line.
