Hi.
My wife and i are currently looking at a house with no chain. I'm a little confused. Its still owned by the housing development company (Broadgate Homes) who built the estate and sold most of the houses around 2005. There are zero sales on this property on any website. Why would this company keep this property for 10 years? Its not the showhome house either. Is it a dodgy way getting round the nhbc? Thanks

See that thing in your pocket/on the table?
Pick it up, dial the number and ask the question.
As for the NHBC conspiracy, that's a lot of unused capital to sit on for a long time....0 -
Maybe they don't like building/selling them all - fearing they'll lose the "future growth potential", so they occasionally just sit on one until they want to raise some money.0
-
...maybe there was a restriction placed on the planning permission, requiring a percentage of the properties to be rented for the first ten years.0

Seriously ? Wow. I've read some conspiracy theories here but this one takes the biscuit.0
