Is there an app to use the Smart Meter signal on my laptop?

Hi. Very few people have smart meters fitted and not all smart meters are the same. You need to contact your energy supplier and ask them for help. There is an app version which is being trialed by BG, its only in very limited areas (I couldn't tell you which, sorry). But the app only works with mobile phones and you wouldn't receive an In-Home Display.0

Ovo has provided a Windows PC application called Smart Gateway. A Hub is connected to the PC with an ethernet lead and the Hub receives information wirelessly from the Smart Meter.
It worked well at first showing a huge amount of real time and historic data.
However, the systems has failed to the extent that it only shows live usage at a point in time.
It was great while it lasted but saddly it no longer works.
Ovo has appeared to have lost interest in a great value-add service.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0
