Removals

Hello!

Anyone know how much removals companies charge? I know that it depends on the size of your house/how much stuff etc. but we are just trying to work out a rough budget for some of the costs. I cant find much info about price on the internet.
Will have to get them to come round at some point but a rough idea for now would be good.

We are moving about 2miles up the road (max).

Anyone had any quotes??

Depends on your area. When some relatives moved north they saved a bundle by getting a Manchester firm to come down south to pick up.
    Been away for a while.

    Hi,
It cost me just over £800 4 years ago (Kent to Somerset). We have moved recently (Somerset to Kent)and hired a van although the van hire was about £90 the diesel was about £150. I wouldn't recomend moving yourself although it is cheaper.......but so much hassle and hard work:confused:

    Hope that helps

hi i used this service from home.co.uk, they display quotes afterwards and mail them to you, they have to come round to double check but mine was exactly the same as the quote shown on the website. all in 410.00 but were only moving about 3 miles down the road, 3 bed house.

Thanks all! Am gonna have a look at the websites now. We did it ourselves last time, but learned the hard way that friends and family all say they are up for it, but then all seem to have much better things to do on the day, so gonna save ourselves the trouble this time.
Plus, we now have 3 children, SOOOO much stuff, and a huge fridge that seemed a great idea at the time!!!!
