cancel recurring payment to US site?

Hi, I signed up to a coaching/self improvement program based in th US which said it had a risk free guarantee if you cancel within the first 7 days. I missed the 7 days, by hours, and (quite rightly I suppose) they have basically said tough, I have to continue with it now. The program took a £60 payment upfront and then says it will take a further 3 £60 payments after that.
As the company is based in the US I am wondering what will happen if I just cancel the recurring payment? Can they do anything to me? I know its my fault, I have made a mistake but I don't want to pay all that money for something which is not worth it at all.
Thanks for any help.

I am pretty sure nothing will happen.
I guess you know that cancelling a CPA can be not as simple as for a DD though.0 -
thanks grumbler, I have heard that it is difficult, hopefully I can get it cancelled.0

Why is it difficult? - you just inform your bank that you have withdrawn your authority for them to debit your card for any future payments.
Whether they will chase you for the debt is another matter.0 -
Hi,
Just a quick update to say that just before I posted this, I sent them an email explaining why I had missed the deadline, and to my surprise they relented! so they have honoured the money back guaratee and I dont have to worry about it!
Thanks for your advice :-)0
