Advice needed for family Paris holiday

I would appreciate any advice anyone can offer. We are a family of 2 adults and 4 children ages1-11 and we are planning a 3 night break in Paris in July.
I have a budget of £500 for the accommodation but have no idea where to stay. We will be driving so will need parking- the choices are endless and I am struggling to narrow them down. I would love some recommendations for places to stay and visit.
Thank you for your help!

My first piece of advice would be to avoid driving in central Paris at all. The only time I drove to Paris with friends, we stayed at a hotel near Charles de Gaulle airport which is on the autoroute from the coast. We took a free transfer bus to the airport and caught the RER, the express metro, into town. Unless you are brave or foolish, I would stop before you need to take the ring road which makes the M25 look like a cul de sac. Chains such as Mercure and Ibis, the latter being very simple but relatively low cost and lacking in all French charm can usually be found on the outskirts but whichever you choose make sure you know what public transport options there are0

I think you can use the station car park I stayed here it was really clean and 4 star breakfast all you can eat with every kind of food you can think off. takes 20 mins to walk to the eifle tower and about half and hour to norte dame the amsterdam garden are a great place to relax

For a group of your size, I would definitely be looking at renting an apartment, via many of the main website available (ie-Airbnb/homestay) Check the areas the the apartment is located-Paris is divided into numbered neighbourhoods, generally anything in the 1st Arrondissement to the 12 Arrondissement is fine. I would avoid anything the 17/18/19/20th Arrondissement (others may disagree with me but I don't think it would suit a young family)
The key benefit of getting an apartment would be keeping your costs down. Food in Paris is expensive, even the supermarkets are not really as cheap as the UK.
Paris in the summer is a bit different to other times of the year, Parisians are on their own holidays, so some of the local boulangeries, you will find will be closed.
Contrary to their reputation, Parisians are quite friendly and helpful.
I would book Eiffel Tower tickets online and skip the hot summer queues.
I would use their public transport, very quick and reliable. Parking in Paris is a nightmare, so i would choose an apartment with free parking.
I hope some of this is useful and I am happy to share more tips-I have spent a fair bit of time in Paris due to work.
Have a lovely time and make sure you visit the Eiffel Tower at least once in the evening, on the hour, to watch it light up!0
