Instagram comping

Ok so I've had the App for a while but never really used it for much other than following for Raff entries. Just trying to maybe learn how to use it for competitions. Have started slowly with a couple that just require a follow and comment but now I've moved on to "re gram" :eek:

I can honestly say I haven't a clue but I'm determined to do this and have googled. The general feeling I'm picking up is that I will need another additional App to do this. A quick look on my Play store (android) has thrown up a long list of them.

Is there an official one or one that people recommend that is Free. The one that keeps popping up is called Re-post but from what I can make out it's only Free to start with.

Any help would be much appreciated as I'm sure it's easy enough once I get the hang of it.

I've had Repost for 6 months or so and never been charged. I think it's funded via ads.

However you may want to assign my post a low weighting as Instagram makes me feel like a dinosaur.

Screen grabbing/shot can be used to regram as well (I have a HTC device) it took a bit of googling but I found out how to do it, so depending on the make and model of your handset it may be an option.

You can screenshot the image where you don't need an app which is a lot quicker or you can use a regram app by going in to them you will know if there's a cost.

Thanks for the replies. I might try this re post app then. If they try to charge me down the line it will get deleted.

I think this will be a work in progress over the next few days. Got a headache just getting this far and had to lie down in a dark room.This was only to do 1 comp.

I'm hoping it will get easier

Hiya Lyn, I use the Regram app (https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/repost-for-instagram/id570315854?mt=8) which is totally free of charge.

What it does is add a little tag crediting the poster of the original image wehn you 'regram' their image. That's the reason Instagram itself doesnt have a repost/regram option - because they want original content to be credited to the poster themselves.

Good luck with Instagram. I was new to it a few months ago but it's simple once you know how!

Just looked on my Play store and doesn't look like I have Re Gram. The top 2 showing are Repost or Regrann

I'm new to instagram too - can I ask - is it ok to keep your account private for comping or do you need it to be made public for entering comps?
