Yes i am a low user, and i pay £18 for Gas and £32 Electricity. Is there anywhere that would suit me do you think? Sorry for my lack of info on this!0

Just let the comp sites add it all up for you, for gas you would benefit by going for a very low standing charge because you would be paying more in standing charges going for the 25p -30 p a day gas suppliers. Ebico have zero standing charges but over 5p/kwhr tariff, whilst Daligas seems to be a better bet.See what the comp sites say. Just use £204 a year gas and £380 a year electric for annual use to get you in the right area. Suppliers will adjust the direct debits once readings start coming in.All the best rates are usually monthly/quarterly direct debit.0

Don't be too upset about that one missed opportunity. That MSE deal was good in some supply areas but not in all (here it was 11th to 13th), and there is still plenty of competition.
Although it may look daunting at the start to use the comparison sites, most ask post code first, then as you work down the page they ask your existing supplier and tariff name, then you can say either I know how many units I use, or I know how much I spend, and let them calculate from there, and they give a list in order of cost.
But because different companies compete better or worse in certain areas, it will be best for you to do this yourself for your area, as one of us could enter your numbers for our own area and get a different order on the list.0 -
I ve just run through your monthly figures into ukpower.co and there is nt much difference between a dual fuel fix and separate gas/electric which came out at dual fuel..GB energy fixed 12 sapphire at £32 a month. If you went separate gas/electric it came out at Daligas £8.70 a month for gas and GB Energy £21 a month/. This is on a £18 month gas £32 month electric with your current supplier...This is S.Yorks post code, one of the cheapest0

OP the GB Sapphire 12 looks your best bet .
I am in the process of getting costs and for dual fuel is not going to be any worse than separate suppliers .
Key costs are my area on that tariff .
Gas standing charge 11.55p per day Unit cost .027825 p .
Electric standing charge 15.80p per day Unit cost .10027 p0 -

I agree, it comes out at £33 a month on those monthly prices you gave with GB Energy saphire 12. First Utility was a fraction cheaper on their 2016 april v5 fix.Npower was the first of the big 6 in the list at £35 a month. I have nt run through separate gas and electric but its quick to go to UKpower.co.uk and see how that fares. You won t be able to claim Warm Home Discount with GB Energy which is worth £140 a year so that may influence your supplier.0 -
