Currys storing my credit card details

They don't need your permission for this.
Did you not ever notice that refunds normally have to be processed to the same card that was used to pay for the purchase? Yesterday I returned an item to Tesco (Direct) and they didn't even need the card to process the refund.
Yes I know they need the same card for the refund but the first 12 digits are encrypted at point of sale and they just ask for the card with the last four digits. I actually have a friend whose card has the same last four digits as mine (the rest are different obviously).0 -

That's interesting. So they can actually track all my purchases in any of their stores at will? Despite Currys PC World telling me that they do not store card details and do not even have a record of me on their system..... don't think I'll be using them any more.... If I want to be tracked I'll use a loyalty card - that's what they were designed for.....0
