Monday 22nd February - what small DFW things will you be doing today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for starting us off Jonno :A
CCL - Just saw the white blood cell. It's bl00dy brilliant! (did you see what I did there? :rotfl:)
Well, it's pay day on Friday and we still have £500+ just sitting there! O M G :eek:Did I tell you YNAB is life-changing?! :j
We have so far spent £185 on groceries, so I might not make it to the end of the month with the sub-£200 target I was aiming for but I'll give it a good bash... Cupboards are bare.
I'm off on a client visit today. Going out for dinner tonight and then a meeting tomorrow. Should be good (read - free food )
Not much else going on - might think of some more before lunch and post then.

Morning all
All quiet outside this morning and a lovely spring day.
Work day today.
Should be a nsd
Have slept most of weekend although I did have a nice swim between naps yesterday.
Have not done any decluttering yet in 2016. Should be on 60 items by now. May make an effort here this week.
Have a good week everyone.

Morning all,
Haven't got an overly dynamic day planned today. My main aim is to clear lots of routine jobs to set us both up for a good week. Money saving efforts will be:
*Peg overnight laundry outside on line. Reload washer for another cheap load tonight.
*Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
*5 baby aubergines have germinated from out of date seed (shows it is worth a try).
*Soak labels off the jars from Mum & pack away ready for next chutney or marmalade making.
*Knit 2 more cats.
*Wrap a gift using recycled giftbag & ribbon & home made gift tag.
*Spend an hour tidying & decluttering. Being organised always saves me money. Things are more likely to gwt missed on a more chaotic week.
*Hoover only the parts of the house which need it - kitchen & lounge only, I reckon.
*All free leisure today - reading library book, knitting, writing up some family history & hopefully updating my blog.
New week, new start, Frugalustas! Keep your mitts on your pence. Remember it can't jump out of your purse & spend itself.
F x2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
2) To read 100 books (24/100)

Morning Everyone :hello:
Another quietish day for me, day off but a few 'things' to do:
Sadly not a NSD - haircut required
Will do some house work this morning.
Washing on and will dry on airers. I thankfully don't have a tumble drier.
Appointment with building society opening an easy access saver account.
Appointment with potential new bank people. This has taken me along time to decide.
It is a small but productive list. Hope everyone has a lovely day. Stay safe folks.
PaceMoney scares me.
Honesty update will arrive shortly......:o0 -
Morning all :j
Thanks for the start Jonno
After an incredibly lazy weekendI really need to get on with stuff today:
Dog walks x 2
Check banks
Housework
Take some items to sales unit later (need labelling once I decide what to take)
Sow tomato seeds
Washing, dry outside if it doesn't rain, or (more likely), on the airer
Make a loaf in the BM
List an item on ebay
Take paper recycling to facility in supermarket car park
NOT go into supermarket while I am there
Make a rhubarb crumble
Any surveys, check FPL
That lot should take me a while
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
