talksport pre-paid debit card

hi. need your help. i have no real account with a proper bank. but i thought this new talksport card was near enough the same as bank debit card. but when i try to open paypal account with it, it says i need to add 6 didgit sort code and 8 didgit account number. but that doesnt seem to be on the talksport debit card. does anyone know if i can find the sort code etc.... and has anyone got a paypal open useing a talksport debit card. please help guys!

Sounds like you tried to register it as a bank account, you need to log into paypal and look for register credit card and put your card details in there it covers credit cards, debit cards and prepaid cards, hope this helps.

i get this message when trying to add talksport pre paid debit card:

This credit card has been refused by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was refused, please contact your credit card issuer's Customer Service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.

now for one it aint a credit card or from a bank. am i adding the card to right place as at top of page says "add credit card"?
doesnt seem to be any area to add debit card?
i have fill in all the gaps apart from the issue number(if applicable) part as the talksport card doesnt have issue number.

please anyone tell me what im doing wrong. do paypal accept maestro debit cards? driving me nuts and at least put me out my misery if i can't do it. please help

In the credit card section there are symbols for Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, American Express, Maestro, Switch, Solo, Visa Delta and Visa Electron which are all acceptable cards. So you should have no problem.
I assume that you have activated your card when you received it online or by phone, if you have not done this it may be the reason paypal is refusing it.

yep card activated. very odd. did read this on paypal though:

Debit cards (also called cheque cards or bank cards) are accepted if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo.

talksport doesnt have either logo. so maybe thats why? damn

I found this page for you to look at and it says that Talksport is one of the prepaid cards that can be used on paypal (can be found on the link mentioned on the page)

You don't choose a credit card, you choose a Maestro Debit card. It will 100% work if you do this.
