Damp? Condensation? Help!

Found a large wet patch under our bedroom window on the floor. It had an ottoman against the wall, so have since moved that.

Cannot find any sign of where water could have gotten in.

Any ideas? Could condensation really lead to that much water?

For info we live in an 1880s terrace, and we do get condensation on bedroom window. Always air it out and wipe off in the morning if that's the case.

I've seen my dehumidifier take out 3 liters if water overnight from our upstairs before so could be possible yes.

perhaps condensation from the window gathered on the sill then dripped down? Especially if the curtain or netting is in contact with the glass.

Do you sleep with the bedroom window closed?

Yes we do sleep with it closed, although that won't be happening again!

We slept with it open last night and no water gathered on the floor
