    There maybe insurance policies that will pay for a funeral or pay out on a death.

    But the paperwork does need going through- obviously.

    ...and a solicitor isn't going to sort the unopened letters, (s)he will no doubt take the instruction, opena file, then advise your aunt to go away and collect the information he asks for, which will necessitate sorting out and opening the post.
    The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....
