Hi.
I'll be receiving a new W10 laptop shortly. I've already seen a website giving advice on the 10 things to change straight away but wondered if anyone here has some good ideas too.
I'll avoid taking up any trials (Office, Norton etc) and I see that its best to stop certain apps using the camera/microphone.
Any thoughts? Ta.

Thanks. I'll post a link, later, to the advice I've already found. I'm writing this on the bus and it's a bit tricky. Isn't technology wonderful!0 -

Its well worth a read, a few tips, I only changed a couple of things. An interesting list of links at the end.

Schedule restarts (to avoid restarts when you least expect them)

If you're concerned about the W10 "spying" capabilities, then install Spybot Ant-Beacon (link half way down this article)

OK, here is what I'd already found. I got my new Laptop today and have just run through the things to consider switching off. Seemed OK to follow, if a bit oddly laid out.

Thanks for the other suggestions.0
