I'd like to go on a 7 night holiday. Anyone have any ideas on where I should go?;);)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
  • Far too many variables to give an informed answer
Big ships have more entertainment and dining venues and if you're prone to motion sickness, as I am, they generally don't roll around so much !
Smaller ships are more intimate and you'll get a chance to talk to the same people more
Really depends on your age and interests

Start with Regent if you can't afford them look at cheaper options.
  • I am at present on the Saga Sapphire ship on a cruise to see (hopefully!) the Northern Lights. Now, I don't know whether the OP is within the correct age group for Saga, but I haven't been able to fault it so far. A nice size ship with large cabins and absolutely fantastic food. I was talking to someone last night who had been on 29 cruises with lots of different cruise lines, and she rated this as the best so far. The initial cost looks pricey but it includes stuff that many of the other lines don't and the price of drinks is really reasonable. We will definitely be going on another of their cruises.

    Hello,

My mum and dad are celebrating 50 years married this year and want to go on a cruise for first time. They are looking at going the Med in August/September from Southampton.

Any tips or advice? Who to book with/not to book with etc based on experiences?

    Thanks
