Correct way of doing this?

I am finally in a good place financially and want to continue to improve my credit history. With regards to using a card and paying off in full each month. My plan when I get paid is to put my monthly spend (fuel, food etc.) in my savings account, use the credit card to pay for these then have the balance paid by dd at the end of the month.

So, my question is, what is the best card for this, ideally I would like to benefit from the card use, but don't know which would offer the most benefits?

Any advice or experience would be great, thank you.
