I sent a £20 cheque to European Vacations on 7/07/10 with their reply form and rec'd the requested holiday package details on 12/08. As the package was not what I expected, I wrote to them on 27/08 requesting a refund of the £ 20 as guaranteed in their initial unsolicited letter. I have rung them twice on 4/10 and 7/10 and e-mailed them on 28/10, but have not received even an acknowledgement, let alone a refund. I can only presume this is a scam, and what chance would anybody have of receiving the "refundable deposit" of £150 on day 2 of the tour should they proceed with the package.

a friend of mine had done one of the really cheap holidays with them, and gave me their details. once I had registered, I started getting offers.
i booked a holiday for summer last year, and paid quite a lot of money up front. A few weeks prior to the holiday, it was cancelled and i was refunded everything (except for the £20 booking fee).

i made a payment to them of £20 over a month ago for another trip, and have not received a booking pack. i have e-mailed three times and have not had any kind of reply.

in spite of all this, i am still receiving e-mails every week trying to get me to take their holidays!!

I paid on credit card, but i suppose i can't do anything about it because it was only £20. how can we actually find out if it is all a scam or if people have genuinely had a holiday?

If it's any help this company appears to be used by Purely creative, those scratchcards that you get for free, always win £10 but costs £9 to find out and 2 stamps.

I posted some terms on another thread, if you don't want to sit on your backside all day, probably nowhere near anything and with little choice of food then you will have to pay for extras;

Terms from their website for an Austrian 5 night tour, min of £108 extra if you want to select your own date. Also min £18 extra pp for a local departure, as said extras for excursions and meals. Probably gonna cost you upwards of £200 extra pp.
