Sainsbury exit penalty when switching to BG Collective
Comments

Nope. My switch has gone through and no charges have been credited to my account. I just owe £11.98 for using more than I had credit in my account to pay for.
Have you gone through with the switch yet?0 -

Were you within 50 days of the end of your tariff with Sainsbury's Energy when you switched? I'm not that's why they're saying the penalty has to be paid.0 -
Nope, I only switched to them in September so I'm WAY outside of the 49 days penalty free period.0

Sainsbury's Energy have said that if I switch to the MSE British Gas Collective, then the £60 penalty must be paid, even though it was stated on the tariff information that it would not have to be!
Anyone else been told this?
Who did you speak to at BG/Sainsburys?
Did you call the special number for the BG Collective Switch?
It's been mentioned numerous times both here and in the MSE email that there is no early exit fee for transferring from Sainsburys to the MSE/BG Collective tariff.0
