DIY or package for 4 nights in Lapland??

We went to Lapland (near Levi) for a daytrip last year & loved it. This year We'd like to stay for a few days and don't know whether it would be better (or cheaper) to arrange our own flights, hotel, excursions or whether it's just as good to go on a package.
